Synopsis "Concept yus"

This murder case is very special. It is the first of its kind, not only for Detective Inspector Terence Simon and the International Bureau of Investigation, but the first in the entire history of the human race. The crime scenes are located on a distant planet out of human reach; the main suspects are non-humanoids from the Yusian civilization and the means, motive and circumstances of the crimes are all related to the First Contact Crisis which erupted soon after the Yusians appeared on Earth. IBI is the agency established to investigate international crime. Now a new field of the crime investigation science needs to be created for the IBI to deal with First Contact-related crime. The Yusians are a non-humanoid biotech civilization that has been present on Earth for ten years. These so anxiously awaited 'brothers in mind', however, are subject of hatred, disgust and fear by the humans and no one yet understands how their senses and minds work. On a joint far space exploration project by the humans and the aliens, a team of seven people is sent to the planet Eyrena to establish a human colony. Several months later two members of the team are found dead. Arriving on Eyrena to investigate the case, DI Simon is met with hostility even by the human team. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, he has to find the strength to take risky and unprecedented in scale actions.
