Configurations was his first major collection to be published in this country, and includes in their entirety Sun Stone (1957) and Blanco (1967). Octavio Irineo Paz Lozano (Mexico City, March 31, 1914-ibidem, April 19, 1998), registered at birth as Octavio Irineo Paz Lozano, was a Mexican poet, essayist, and diplomat. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1990 and the Cervantes Prize in 1981. He is considered one of the most influential authors of the 20th century and one of the greatest poets of all time.
