This results in his attack on another local boy, Mateo Sanchez, a bright and soft-spoken Chicano kid, who he had publicly bullied for years. Now, in a coma, Mateo learns that there is truly life after death when his soul travels to a spiritual realm where he awaits his final fate.Damian, now facing attempted murder charges, is sentenced to serve time at California Youth Authority, a prison for under age offenders. Now feeling more alone than ever, Damian faces a life changing experience when his soul is also catapulted into the afterlife. Only now, it might be too late for the remorse of his prior life's sins.
