Paul Pen is a Spanish writer and screenwriter, born in Madrid in 1979. He was named New Fnac Talent 2011 after the publication of his first novel, El aviso (RBA), a debut considered "outstanding" by Babelia, the cultural supplement of the newspaper El País.

This novel has been translated into German and Italian. In 2013, he published his second novel, El brillo de las luciérnagas (Plaza y Janés), translated into English as The Light of the Fireflies (AmazonCrossing) and into German as Glühwürmchen, glüh (AmazonCrossing). In 2017, he published internationally his third novel La casa entre los cactus, translated into several languages. In 2019, his fourth novel Un matrimonio perfecto was published internationally, translated into English as Under the Water.

On 02/02/2022, he published his fifth novel La Metamorfosis Infinita.
