Synopsis "El Final del Sendero (in Spanish)"

“Después de algunos pasos vacilantes encuentro mi ritmo, voy subiendo por la pendiente a trancos cortos y apurados. Mi respiración se acelera, la piel de mi cara se calienta. A mis pies, la tierra se desprende”

Sinopsis de El final del sendero:
Esta es la historia de la amistad de Simo con Jota. A Simo le gusta subir cerros, correr por los senderos, encontrarse en movimiento. Jota es pésima para eso, pero acompaña a Simo y juntas adoptan un perro. Simo es del sur, a veces su madre la llama por teléfono, no siempre quiere hablar con ella. Un día, Jota decide ir con a Simo a subir el cerro El Carbón. Ninguna de las dos bajará siendo la misma.

Carolina Brown was born in 1984 in Santiago and as a girl she liked to write and draw. In college, she switched from drawing to photography and continued writing. In 2014, she won the Nicomedes Guzmán Young Story Contest of the Chilean Writers Society and in 2015 was selected by the Book Fund with her short story book In the Water. The End of the Path is her first novel.
