¿Por qué Gabriel Turbay no pudo ser presidente? ¿Quiénes lo boicotearon? ¿Por qué Gaitán y Laureano Gómez hicieron una campaña racista contra Turbay en 1946? ¿Qué implicó para el país la pérdida del liberalismo en el gobierno? ¿Por qué Turbay fue borrado de la memoria colombiana?

Olga L. González holds a PhD in sociology from the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences in Paris, with a master's degree in social sciences from the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences in Marseille. She has a master's degree in history from the National University and is a political scientist from the University of the Andes. She is an associate researcher at the University of Paris Cité, and a regular contributor to the Colombian and French press. Currently, she is a columnist for La Silla Vacía.

She is the author of numerous articles, published in academic and popular books and journals, both Colombian and international. The spectrum of her thematic interests is broad. She has worked on homicidal violence in Latin America, on issues related to gender, women artists, the hustle of Latin American migrants in France, and on social and political conjuncture in Colombia. This work, of a historical nature, is enriched with her interdisciplinary perspective and her constant desire to convey her findings with clarity and passion.
