Synopsis "Escape From Destiny: A WWII Action/Romance"

"And you have lost another of your cat-lives," Colonel Blome tells Major Maximilian Von Strasser as the hero of Escape From Destiny manages to cheat death one more time and like a cat with nine lives, survives. The major is an honorable Wehrmacht officer in the Nazi Army in early 1945. Wounded himself, he must get a group of ambulances across the Rhine River over one of the few remaining bridges - Remagen. Surrounded by Allied soldiers, he is suddenly in possession of an American girl, the daughter of a diplomat who has driven deep into occupied France in search of a family treasure. Maximilian must save the wounded soldiers, protect the girl and rejoin the war - all three. Filled with memorable characters, Escape From Destiny is both a historical action story and a romance. World War II comes alive again and is told from a different angle for an American audience - that of the German side of the story. Both the fall of the Remagen Bridge and the Battle of Wessel are told in detail and the romance moves from two characters who start as enemies and end as a couple who find that their destiny is to be together against improbable odds.
