Aoife Duncan is an Irish Visual Artist based in the midlands. She uses a variety of media including ceramics, photography, drawing and found objects to communicate her ideas. She is interested in the actual or perceived transformative abilities of materials, and the emotional attachments we forge with objects around us. Aoife explores these ideas as they relate to personal, domestic and wider cultural contexts. from my [mother's] time and before is a continuation of those same concerns, applied to concepts of memory, personal history and connection with place. This poetry chapbook is the first text-based outcome of her creative practice.
