Synopsis "From Runs to Wins: A Logistics Model to Support and Improve Pythagorean Expectation in MLB (2000-2025)"

This document evaluates an alternative logistic model to the traditional Pythagorean expectation for converting runs into victories in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 2000 and 2025. Using official data split into a training set (2000-2019) and a validation set (2021-2025), the author examines an endogenous formulation inspired by the minority dropout law. The results show that, although it provides a solid theoretical foundation, its predictive accuracy is nearly identical to that of the adjusted Pythagorean model (1.83), demonstrating a correlation of almost one between both procedures.
