British writer, Cara Hunter lives and works in Oxford. She studied English Philology and, later, earned her PhD from the University of Oxford.

Hunter's novels are of the crime genre, and can also be classified within the thriller genre due to the fast pace of her stories.

Who Took Daisy Mason? was her debut in the literary scene. In its pages, she introduces Inspector Adam Fawley, who must investigate the disappearance of a girl on the outskirts of Oxford. Her next published novel, The Oxford Cellar, is also set in the same city and features Adam Fawley as the protagonist.
