Greetings from the Edge of Nowhere is a contemporary black comedy about a miserable greetings card writer who becomes embroiled in a murder investigation while embarking on a quest to find his childhood sweetheart. Paul Stanton lives with his mother despite being forty-two. His life is a daily grind of monotony and tediousness, but everything is about to change. On his way to the greetings card company that he works for, Paul coincidentally sees the only girlfriend he's ever had. Spurred on by the hope she will share his wish for reconciliation, he sets out to try and find her. However, after sighting Fran and exiting the cab in order to try and catch her, the cabby drives off with his belongings on the back seat. Unfortunately for Paul, these items start appearing at the scenes of murders conducted by a serial killer, making him one of the prime suspects in the case. Filled with dark humour, this is a book that will have you hooked from start to finish as Paul struggles to find his lost love in the shadow of the murder investigation. An over-bearing mother, a sister with OCD and a gun-toting maniac are just a few of the people that make up the rich tapestry of his life as it moves from monotony to mayhem. 'This is superb.
