Synopsis "Gwendolyn of Westport: Westport Book 3"

Twenty-two years have passed since the end of Sam of Delorre. (Westport Book 1) and two years since the end of Sam of Westport (Westport Book 2). Gwendolyn has continued at the Almode School of Magick and is about to graduate. Mordoc and Sam have been working together to calm the Western Lands, but there is trouble brewing along the coast to the south - just the sort of trouble to make for a challenge to a new graduate from the Almode School. Sam believes his daughter will be a great magicker; Mordoc is convinced that she will outshine himself and her father; but she must prove herself, by meeting and overcoming the challenges of a mission, without the help of either of the two older men in her life. She needs to be challenged and must overcome the challenge on her own. Gwendolyn has significant doubts. She understands herself to be the mistress of a small handful of little tricks, but certainly not the equal of either her father or Mordoc. Knowing that her fate is to go on the mission, she commits to learning whatever she can along the way. Most important, she will need to explore her own potential as a magicker.
