Francisco Gálvez Pizarro is a self-taught Chilean graphic designer and typographer. He is a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and author of the book "Hacer y componer, una introducción a la tipografía", widely read in the Spanish-speaking world.

His typeface Australis received the Gold Medal at Morisawa, Tokyo, in 2002. Additionally, his typefaces Amster and Chercán were selected as favorites by Typographica in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
