Synopsis "Hank Williams: The Singer and the Songs "

Many consider Hank Williams to be the greatest singer and songwriter in the history of country music; he set the standard for every country music singer/songwriter for those who followed. In Hank Williams: The Singer and the Songs, Don Cusic tells the story of Hank's life and the recording of his songs. The book includes the lyrics to all of the songs written and co-written by Hank. The songs of Hank Williams are timeless and the story of the man behind those songs is the story of a genius with a dark side, a shooting star who burned out at the age of 29. Don Cusic is the Curb Professor of Music Industry History at Belmont University of Nashville and is one of the leading historians of country music.
