Joanne Rowling (Yate, 1965), known worldwide as J.K. Rowling, is a British writer and screenwriter who has left a deep mark on contemporary literature thanks to the creation of the Harry Potter saga. Her work not only revolutionized children's and young adult literature, but also became a global cultural phenomenon. Before achieving success, Rowling studied Philology and worked in various jobs, including Amnesty International. It was during a train journey when the idea of Harry Potter emerged, which, after overcoming personal difficulties such as the loss of her mother and raising her daughter alone, managed to publish in 1997 after several editorial rejections. The Harry Potter saga, with more than 600 million copies sold and translated into multiple languages, is her most influential work. She also writes crime novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, showing her versatility as an author.

In 2020, J.K. Rowling returned to writing for children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, which she first published for free online during the lockdown; later she donated all the book's royalties to help the most vulnerable groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. J.K. Rowling confesses she always wanted to be a writer. She lives in Scotland with her family.

La edición es hermosaa. Es mi primera vez comprando por aquí y me llegó casi en perfecto estado (solo noto que la caja tiene pequeñas abolladuras en los bordes, pero nada más.) Es mucho más hermoso de lo que se ve en imagen, incluso me sorprendió ver que adentro traiga una imagen de Salazar Slytherin, y todo de muy buena calidad. Los libros vienen con solapa con relieves y algunas gráficas en las páginas, todo muy hermoso. Mi mejor compra!
