Rags Morales es un destacado artista de cómics estadounidense, muy valorado por su trabajo tanto como dibujante como entintador. Nacido en Nueva York y de ascendencia puertorriqueña, creció en Nueva Jersey, donde descubrió en el arte una vía de expresión e identidad. Adoptó su famoso seudónimo “Rags” inspirado en un personaje de un libro que le habló sobre superación personal.

Su carrera profesional comenzó en 1989 al ilustrar la serie de fantasía Forgotten Realms para DC/TSR, marcando su debut con 19 números. Luego co-creó el Renacimiento de Black Condor. Tras colaborar con Valiant Comics en títulos como Turok, Archer & Armstrong y Geomancer, regresó a DC para plasmar su talento en series como Hourman, JSA y Hawkman. En esta última, consolidó una alianza creativa duradera con el entintador Michael Bair.

Su gran salto llegó con Identity Crisis, una obra de gran repercusión que revisa el universo DC con una mirada íntima y emocional. Desde entonces, ha ilustrado historias memorables como Nightwing, Superman/Batman, Wonder Woman, Batman Confidential, Blackest Night y el relanzamiento de Action Comics en la era New 52.

Rags también comparte su conocimiento como profesor de Story Adaptation en la Escuela Joe Kubert, además de participar activamente en convenciones y eventos del mundo del cómic.
