Joseph “Joe” Kubert (1926-2012) fue un dibujante, escritor y editor estadounidense considerado una de las figuras más influyentes del cómic del siglo XX. Reconocido por su trazo expresivo y potente, dejó huella en personajes icónicos de DC Comics, entre ellos Hawkman, título en el que trabajó con gran consistencia durante las décadas de 1960 y 1970, y que más tarde se recopiló en ediciones como DC Finest: Hawkman.
