Gege Akutami was born on February 26, 1992 in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. He is an enigmatic Japanese mangaka, globally recognized for creating Jujutsu Kaisen, one of the most popular manga and anime series of the last decade. Although personal information about Akutami is scarce and largely shrouded in mystery—his name is, in fact, a pseudonym and few details about his private life have been revealed—his work has left an indelible mark on the world of manga. As a Japanese manga artist, he gained recognition for creating Jujutsu Kaisen and its prequel Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School.
