He was born in Mexico City in 1968. He is a writer and journalist. Among his books are El otro México (Temas de Hoy, 2011), Mirreynato (Temas de Hoy, 2014), Periodismo urgente (Ariel-INAI, 2017) and Hijo de la guerra (Seix Barral, 2019), a novel finalist for the Rómulo Gallegos award (2020). He publishes three times a week the column «Política Zoom» in Milenio Diario; he is the host of the morning news show A Ras de Tierra (ADN 40), as well as the weekly programs No hay lugar común (ADN 40), Calle 11 (Canal Once) and Multiverso Milenio (Milenio TV).

Among his research, those related to the justice system, inequality, discrimination, and human rights stand out.
