Resumen: El presente estudio ofrece un análisis diacrónico y comparado de la celebración de la Asunción dentro del patrimonio litúrgico occidental, atendiendo a sus raíces orientales y a la progresiva configuración heortológica que la tradición ha ido consolidando. A través del método histórico, se reconstruye el iter evolutivo de la fiesta, mostrando cómo la pluralidad ritual, lejos de fragmentar la memoria del misterio mariano, ofrece una visión convergente de la glorificación de la Madre del Señor.Palabras clave: Asunción-Dormición, galicano, heortología, hispano-mozárabe y ambrosiano, rito romano.Abstract: This study offers a diachronic and comparative analysis of the celebration of the Assumption within Western liturgical heritage, focusing on its Eastern roots and the progressive heortological configuration that tradition has consolidated over time. Using the historical method, the evolutionary iter of the feast is reconstructed, showing how ritual plurality, far from fragmenting the memory of the Marian mystery, offers a convergent vision of the glorification of the Mother of the Lord.Keywords: Assumption-Dormition, Gallican, heortology, Hispano-Mozarabic and Ambrosian, Roman rite.Mario Javier Méndez Ramos, (Cáceres, España 1978), fue ordenado sacerdote de la diócesis de Coria-Cáceres en 2003. En 2009, obtuvo el máster en Patrimonio Cultural de la Iglesia por la Pontificia Universidad de Salamanca. En 2013, alcanzó la licenciatura en Sagrada Liturgia en el Ateneo San Anselmo de Roma y cursó la licenciatura en Teología Dogmática (Mariología), en la Facultad Teológica Marianum.
