Ziel dieser Studie war es, das chemische Profil und die larvizide Aktivität von ätherischem Öl (EO), das aus den Blättern von Pimenta dioica L. extrahiert wurde, vor den Larven der Aedes aegypti-Mücke zu bewerten. Die larvizide Aktivität von EO zeigte Mortalität bei Konzentrationen von 10 bis 100 mg L-1 und eine LC50 von 48,41 mg L-1. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass das bewertete EO aus Substanzen besteht, die eine gute larvizide Wirkung gegen Aedes aegypti haben, was seine Effizienz bei der Bekämpfung und Kontrolle der Aedes aegypti-Mücke belegt.
