Vor dem Hintergrund der bisherigen Untersuchungen zu festen syntagmatischen Wortverbindungen werden deutsche und polnische lexikalische Kollokationen hinsichtlich ihrer Merkmale wie Struktur, Assoziativität, Konventionalität und Idiomatizität beschrieben. Ein Korpus von 1000 deutschen und polnischen äquivalenten Kollokationen dient zur Veranschaulichung der interlingualen Äquivalenz im Kollokationsbereich. Die Klärung des Wesens der Kollokation sowie die Herausarbeitung der Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen deutschen und polnischen Kollokationen ermöglicht auch die Diskussion über didaktische, lexikographische und translatorische Implikationen der Kollokationsforschung.
