I wanted to create something exactly like the kind of books I like. As soon as I learnt to read, science fiction and fantasy sparked my imagination, especially in a series, and if it had lots of action and adventure by a reluctant hero who's basically a romantic, so much the better. Because the characters are genetically engineered mutants based on a range of animals mixed with an ancient hominid, their respective species represent a broad spectrum of human qualities without being anthropomorphized animals. The world they inhabit is post-apocalyptic, a dystopia, but there's room for optimism because their life force is strong. Add elements of fringe science, artificial intelligence, androids, time travel and a space opera spanning galaxies and aeons, things get really interesting. The Stars Hereafter Chronicles focus on the science fiction and fantasy genres overall, with a major element being the relationship between the main characters and how they grow to love each other against all odds.Overall, the series is designed to keep you turning the pages, never a dull moment. Q: What order should I read the books in?A: You can read the books in any order because each makes brief references to the overall story, but I suggest this sequence: Lightning SeedsBones of Silver, Bones of IronMistress of the KnellEye of Stone (coming soon)The Naked Eye (coming soon)The Mirror Universe (coming soon)There will be a third trilogy in 2021. Q: Why should readers give these books a try?A: Because The Stars Hereafter Chronicles is a wild ride through a strange land in a parallel universe, anyone who enjoys their imagination stimulated in a way that makes them see the world differently will find themselves absorbed. That's what science fiction has done for me - to see human beings from enough distance to appreciate the wonder and mystery of our existence. The Stars Hereafter Chronicles series eBook categories: science fiction romancecoming of age seriesfantasy science fictionreptiliansmutantadventure science fictionpost-apocalypseartificial intelligenceandroidtime travel
