The main aim of the study is to study the market potential of herbicides in the selected districts of Tamil Nadu. The sample size of this study was 200 sample farmers and 48 sample dealers. The primary data was collected by interviewed directly the sample consumers which means face to face interview at their own place to make them feel free to answer with the help of well organized and pre-analyzed interview schedule. From the results it could be concluded that majority of the sample farmers were young, middle aged and engaged in farm and non farm activities. The revealed that there will be a huge market potential for the sale of herbicides and it's related business. The sample farmers prefers chemical weeding operations due to low cost, labour scarcity and time saving.
