Synopsis "Matilda: The Chocolate Cake Edition "

One of Roald Dahl's most loved stories, now available in a newly designed scented package which smells like chocolate! From the bestselling author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG comes the story of a girl with extraordinary abilities. Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different, but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a kid-hating terror of a headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull, she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves, and Matilda may be just the one to do it!     "Matilda will surely go straight to children's hearts." --The New York Times Book Review

(Wales, 1916 - Oxford, 1990) Roald was born into a wealthy family of Norwegian origin. At the age of four, he lost his father and at seven, he came into contact with the strict British educational system, which he reflected in books like Matilda and Boy. After finishing high school, he started working at the Shell company in Africa, where he was caught by the Second World War. After brief training, he became a pilot for the Royal Air Force. He was assigned to Washington, where he began writing about his war adventures. His foray into the world of children's literature was motivated by the stories he told his four children. His first work was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He also wrote scripts for movies and some of his works have been adapted into films.
