Misstep - Benjamin Lloyd

When Detective Inspector Carson is sent to the remote Greenlandic town of Nanortalik, he expects routine paperwork, not a murder investigation with international consequences. A British citizen has been found dead, the local police want answers fast, and the cruise ship tied up in the harbour is desperate to leave.

But nothing in Nanortalik is straightforward.

As Carson and Eva dig deeper, they uncover a town balancing on the edge of change: a new airport, a new hotel, and ambitions far bigger than the settlement itself. Beneath the surface lies a web of suspicious deaths, hidden routes, and powerful men who prefer the truth buried under ice.

And when the case leads back to a missing link in the chain, Carson begins to realise that the death at the centre of it all may only be the first misstep.

Perfect for fans of atmospheric crime fiction, Misstep is a tense, intelligent mystery set against the stark beauty of the Arctic - and the cold calculations of those willing to exploit it.

Misstep is the fourth entry in the DI Carson Mysteries series.
