Synopsis "MJ and the Chocolate Surprise"

MJ loves chocolate. Peanuts? Not so much. When MJ notices a delicious chocolatey smell, he is excited to discover a bowl of tempting treats. But Dad soon reveals that these are not ordinary chocolates—they are peanuts covered in chocolate! MJ is horrified. As Dad tries to convince him to taste just one, MJ faces a very serious decision: can something covered in chocolate still be delicious if there is a peanut hiding inside? Inspired by a funny real-life conversation between a father and son, MJ and the Chocolate Surprise is a warm, playful picture book filled with expressive reactions, family laughter and a very suspicious bowl of chocolate-covered peanuts. Perfect for reading aloud, this entertaining story celebrates: • Funny everyday family moments • The special relationship between fathers and sons • Curiosity and making your own choices • Children’s wonderfully honest reactions • Knowing what you like—and what you definitely do not! With colourful illustrations, memorable dialogue and plenty of opportunities for children to join in with MJ’s enormous “EEEEEEWWWWWWLLLLLL!”, this story is sure to bring laughter to story time. Will MJ finally try a chocolate-covered peanut? Or will Dad have to eat them all himself? A humorous and affectionate picture book for young children, families, chocolate lovers and even those who agree with MJ that peanuts are absolutely gross!
