Synopsis "Musings of Yukiyu"

For readers who might have a slight vision problem and are annoyed or frustrated by tiny print, Musings of Yukiyu and most of C. Scoushe Rosa's books are printed in a semi-large print that is easier on the eyes. ADDITIONAL DESCRIPTION OF MUSINGS OF YUKIYU: Taíno Indian José Esperanza longs to someday leave the rain forest and follow his own road in life, but after his father is killed in a tragic accident, the teenager becomes the sole provider for his family. He finds work on a tobacco farm and forages for food in his mountain home, where he encounters a few terrifying and rib tickling situations that test his mettle. While he struggles to support the family, his older brother refuses to work and often takes advantage of José. In his new role, José transforms into a mentor and hero for his younger brother and a trustworthy friend to a fellow orphan. Whether you make it to Yukiyú's mountain forest or not, here's an opportunity to experience a VIP tour of an exotic jungle sierra, to tackle the raging waters of Puerto Rico's Luquillo River, and to hunt and forage alongside a native who is very familiar with the lush landscape.
