Author and journalist, Robert Harris studied English Literature at Selwyn College, Cambridge, where he stood out for his activism and his work as the editor of the university newspaper, a prelude to his later career in well-known media such as The Observer or the Sunday Times, as well as for the BBC, where he presented current affairs programs Panorama and Newsnight

In literature, Harris made a name for himself as an essayist, publishing several books of investigative journalism, until in 1992 he achieved worldwide success with Fatherland, a uchronia where Nazi Germany wins World War II. From that moment, he dedicated himself almost exclusively to writing historical novels, with novels like Enigma, Stalin's Son, Pompeii, Imperium, or Conspiracy

Fatherland, Enigma, The Ghost Writer, and Stalin's Son were successfully adapted into film and television
