Ortho SUV Frame (OSF) ist die neueste Version der Hexapod-Plattform, die 2009 von Solomin, Utekhin und Vilensky in Russland entwickelt wurde. Die Basis dieser Plattform ähnelt der des TSF, jedoch mit dem Unterschied, dass beim OSF jede Strebe von einer Seite mit dem Ring und von der anderen Seite mit der anderen Strebe verbunden ist, was es ermöglicht, nur drei Löcher von jedem Ring zu belegen. Dies ist ein sehr wichtiger Punkt, da bei Ilizarov alle Löcher des Rings effizient sind. Darüber hinaus kann diese Plattform in sehr kurzer Zeit installiert werden, und aufgrund der hohen Stabilität müssen keine weiteren Drähte oder Stifte eingesetzt werden. Bei dieser Art von Plattform ist der proximale Ring die Basis und der distale Ring ist beweglich.
