Patience and Practice is a children’s picture book, written by Kathleen Gorman and illustrated by Lucia Benito. Penny, the main character, has a problem. She can’t read like the rest of her class. Presley her best friend is a good reader. Young readers follow the two friends as Presley encourages Penny through lots of practice and patience to build up the courage she needs to grow as a reader. Penny learns many new technics to problem solve, instead of struggle as she reads. By the end of the story, all readers will be cheering with Penny as she succeeds in reading to her class.
