Synopsis "Raised by New York: 27 Unexpected Journeys"

It takes many photos to create a full picture of a person's journey in life. Herve uses the city of New York and its immediate surroundings as the indispensable backdrop as he moves from childhood into manhood and then beyond. It is the life of the city, any large city, that infuses the stories with character, suspense, tragedy, happiness, and personal growth. You will understand and appreciate life's challenges common to all as you read his stories. Herve is able to extract a moral, a lesson, from each story. In each, he learns more of life and himself. Herve's search to find out more about his life will ring true to many of you. His passion for life is exemplified by the "dance of the Argentine tango," the struggle to be the best - its rewards and the undesirable and shattering effect it had on his life. It is the passions of his life that move him forward. The sacrifice of family to fulfill and feel those passions that separate Herve from the ordinary.
