Synopsis "Sixth Sense"

Bloomington, Illinois wasn't nearly as large or popular as cities like Chicago, or Springfield. It didn't have Willis Tower or the 9-11 history that Chicago had. But what it did have was a masked hero. Its very own hero, with supernatural powers and abilities. But, like all stories prove time and again, heroes come with villains, and Bloomington had its fair share of those, too. This particular hero was known as The Slingshot. Named by the media, as most heroes are, his name reflected on his primary ability-jumping. The Slingshot was what supernatural researchers call "Jumpers". While his physical abilities all seemed to be advanced-his speed, strength, and stamina being high above any recorded human level-his jumping was the most enhanced of them all. The Slingshot could jump from ground-level to the roof of a building, from roof-top to roof-top, and sustain no injury. His incredible abilities sometimes attract the attention of equally powerful, less-kind super-villains. So, though not very popular, Bloomington was an exciting place. The local media always buzzing with hero and villain-business, people getting kidnapped and rescued, kittens saved from trees, and the like. No one knew who the Slingshot was. People did their best to investigate him, going to deadly extremes to discover his identity. It was only a matter of time before someone would succeed, but until that happened-the Slingshot remained a mystery.
