He was associated with the great authors of his time: Rilke, Joseph Roth, Thomas Mann, H.G. Wells, Tagore, among others. After several decades in which his works were inexplicably ignored, Zweig has been rediscovered and currently enjoys the prestige and popularity that literary justice demanded.

Buena edición en tapa dura y una traducción directa del alemán. Sin embargo, aunque considero que Zweig era un muy buen escritor, no terminé de conectar completamente con las 5 historias que contiene esta edición. El estilo del autor es bastante fluido y lleno de matices, pero también me resultó ampuloso y grandilocuente en algunos momentos. Disfruté "Novela de ajedrez" y "Mendel, el de los libros". Las demás me dejaron con sentimientos encontrados y no fueron completamente de mi gusto.
