Francesca Matteoni es una escritora, poeta e investigadora italiana especializada en folklore, historia de la brujería y simbología de los tarots. Nacida en Pistoia y residente en la Toscana, su trabajo combina poesía, narrativa y ensayo, explorando temas como las creencias populares, la magia y la tradición cultural europea.

Estudió Religiones Comparadas y completó un doctorado centrado en las creencias sobre la sangre y la brujería en la Europa moderna temprana. Ha publicado varias obras poéticas y ensayos que abordan desde la magia hasta la relación entre los animales y las tradiciones mágicas europeas.

Además de su labor como autora, Matteoni imparte talleres sobre tarot, poesía y narración, y enseña en universidades, donde se enfoca en la historia de la religión, antropología de la magia y misticismo renacentista.
