Kim Young-Ha has been writing novels and short stories for over twenty years, depicting the fears of modern Korean society: loneliness, tedium, stagnation, and death. He worked as a professor at the Drama School of the National University of Korea and hosted a literary radio program until in 2008 he left any other job that was not related to writing and translation. He collaborated for several years with The New York Times.
