Synopsis "The Day I Brought a Blue Alien to Homeroom"

Tyler Harrison wants nothing more than to win the eighth grade science fair. He's been trying for years, but he always comes up short for one seriously annoying reason: a girl named Jenny Hatamiya. Tyler will do anything to beat Jenny. She only wins because she's Asian. That's what his dad says. Tyler is double annoyed when he and Jenny become lab partners. He's triple annoyed by the fact that Jenny seems nice. And hardworking. And really smart. As usual, she has a great science fair project. He knows he's going to win, however, because he has the best science fair project ever: the metallic blue alien he found in the woods by his house. He names the alien Blue, but no one is excited about his new extraterrestrial friend. Since Blue looks different and comes from far away, everyone is scared of the alien. Kids and teachers and parents freak out. Even Tyler has to wonder, who is Blue? Why has he come to Earth? Will everyone accept Tyler's new friend? Tensions heat up as the science fair drama unfolds, and Tyler finds himself standing up for Jenny. Can Blue help Tyler and Jenny overcome years of competition and perhaps even forge a friendship?
