Adrian Goldsworthy es un historiador y escritor británico especializado en la historia de la Antigua Roma. Nació en 1969 en Gran Bretaña y desde joven desarrolló un gran interés por la historia militar y las civilizaciones antiguas.
Estudió Historia Antigua y Moderna en la Universidad de Oxford, donde obtuvo su doctorado. Su investigación se ha centrado especialmente en el ejército romano, las guerras de la República y el Imperio romano, y algunos de sus personajes más importantes.
Goldsworthy ha escrito numerosos libros de historia destinados tanto a especialistas como al público general.
