Synopsis "The Grave Robbers: A Central Illinois Small Town History"

This second edition conforms to KDP, createspace, and Amazon policies. In the spring of 1997, a bizarre cult made up of small town young people in their teens and early twenties broke into an Elliott mausoleum containing the bodies of a beloved and tragedy striken pioneer couple. Stealing the heads of husband and wife, they used them for rituals for the purpose of obtaining spiritual power and bringing about the end of the world. This book, written by a deputy sheriff who assisted with the investigation, tells the true story of this incident, and also of the decisions made by leaders in society that brought increasing crime and violence to rural America. This second edition was edited to conform to the policies of createspace and KDP.
