Synopsis "The Masks We Wear"

The Masks We WearBy: Kristi Jo ShieldsThe Masks We Wear, a collection of poems, was created during the COVID-19 Pandemic. These poetic stories were written on how each of Kristi Jo Shields' family member's perspectives were during this time. They were able to find strength, each in their own way, with love or inspiration of others. Their stories are serious, yet presented with a light heart.Enjoy The Masks We Wear, a heartening, relatable, and inspirational collection of poetry.About the AuthorOn a professional level, Kristi Jo Shields has a bachelor's degree and her past occupation was a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. During the Pandemic she was laid off from her current job and had to rely on her therapeutic skills to keep her family positive, healthy, and happy. She is a mother of two sons and one daughter, one dog, and one cat.Whether she's being a mother, a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or a hairstylist, Kristi will always appreciate the small things that make our world special. That is how her book came to life. She's always enjoyed writing stories in a poetic form like her grandma taught her.
