Romano Guardini (1885–1968) fue un destacado teólogo, filósofo y sacerdote católico, considerado una de las figuras más influyentes del pensamiento cristiano del siglo XX. Nació en Verona, Italia, pero creció y desarrolló la mayor parte de su vida académica en Alemania, lo que marcó profundamente su identidad cultural e intelectual.

Guardini estudió en varias universidades alemanas y fue ordenado sacerdote en 1910. A lo largo de su carrera, enseñó en instituciones como la University of Berlin y la University of Munich, donde se especializó en teología, filosofía de la religión y liturgia.
