Synopsis "The Tentacles of Vice: The Sequel to 'Trails of Destruction'"

Dr Jarod Ulrich has been out of prison now for just on a year. He has been reunited with his wife of twenty-six years and life is pretty good - or so it seems. But Jarod still misses the thrill of the chase. He craves for more excitement in his life but doesn't want to disappoint his loyal, loving wife yet again. A chance phone-call from his old nemesis, Al Hancock has Jarod attending a meeting with Al and a group of very shady-looking characters. Al informs them of the existence of an invaluable gold nugget that has been kept concealed in the cellar of a house on the waterfront of Sydney Harbour for a hundred and fifty years. Al wants to include Jarod in his team of experts who plan to steal the nugget and sell it for tens of millions of dollars profit. Jarod does not want any part of the theft at first, deciding it is far too risky. He does not want to spend the rest of his life in prison. But Al in his customary deceitful and intimidating ways, forces Jarod to join the gang and go ahead with the theft. Jarod becomes caught up on the horns of terrible dilemma. He desperately wants to avoid going back to prison, but he is also afraid of losing his life at the hands of Al Hancock's henchmen. The theft goes ahead and proves successful. But its aftermath leads Jarod on a frenzied path of retribution, kidnapping, bloodshed and finally murder as he tries desperately to escape from the evil clutches of Al Hancock and his band of bloodthirsty thieves. Al's tentacles of vice gradually engulf Jarod and threaten to end his life on a deserted island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. There seems to be no hope left for survival...
