In LOST HEART/Un corazon extraviado, María de Alva tells us the story of Pedro Garfias, a poet from the generation of '27, who was never recognized as part of this group, who had a very difficult life with a father and then a wife with that was not understood, and a very sad life in exile in Mexico.

They were part of the Second Spanish Republic, but not all succumbed to fascism and unleashed death. They chose exile along with thousands of people who do not appear in history, but whose voices we still hear, such as that of the poet Pedro Garfias, an extraordinary talent, contemporary and friend of Federico García Lorca, Miguel Hernández, Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí .

But who was this great writer and why did he end up cornered in a small bookstore in Monterrey? This novel simultaneously narrates the disturbing story of our modernity, and that of a writer who sets out in search of this legendary character with a lost heart, but with a head full of songs and poems.
