The ripple effects of unhealed trauma can cross multiple generations. Breaking the chain, ends the cycle" Gina bravely writes in poetry, prose, letters, and quotes as she puts her life back together after her son's tragic death to suicide. Is it a coincidence that her son's transition happened the same day of the 40th Anniversary of her father being shot and blinded? Since the age of one, Gina had experienced one trauma after another to include emotional and physical abuse and sexual assault. Her story parallels that of many who have been abused and are currently or have been in one toxic relationship after another. Her words are meant to inspire healing, repair that which is broken, and to encourage breaking the cycle of multi-generational abuse. For every experience in life there is a polar opposite. Unavailable/Available is a Tete Beche about her journey to heal fear with love, pain with joy and to release all that no longer serves a purpose, thus creating space for peace.
