Jenny Pearce es profesora visitante en el International Inequalities Institute del London School of Economics (LSE). Es politóloga y ha desarrollado su trabajo combinando métodos antropológicos y participativos; de hecho, se define a sí misma como una antropóloga de la paz.
Su obra recoge años de investigación sobre la violencia en América Latina, pero va más allá al proponer un diálogo interdisciplinario para comprender su papel en la política a escala global. Este trabajo se materializa en su libro Politics without Violence? Towards a Post Weberian Enlightenment (Palgrave Macmillan, 2020).
Su trabajo ha sido reconocido internacionalmente, en 2023 recibió el LASA/Oxfam America Martin Diskin Memorial Lectureship, una distinción que destaca trayectorias que articulan
investigación académica y activismo social.
