If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, God did not call you to blend in with the world. He has called you to be holy or “set apart” for His glory. I Peter 1:15-16 says, “As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”So, what does it mean to be holy and how do you live a holy life that pleases your Abba Father in such a sinful, fallen world? This discipleship curriculum seeks to answer those eternally significant questions that, if taken to heart and applied, will impact how you view God, others and yourself. It is designed for all believers who desire to grow in their understanding of the Bible and are craving a deeper relationship with the Lord. There are two parts to this study. The first part will walk you through what the Bible teaches about Godly manhood and how to be holy in every aspect of your life. The second part is a seminary level survey of basic Christian doctrine along with a clear and concise summary and overview of each of the 66 books in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.Homework assignments accompany each session. These assignments are designed to help you solidify and put into practice the truths you are studying. In Ephesians 6:17, the Apostle Paul encourages believers to utilize the Word of God to stand firm in their faith. The Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, is our only offensive weapon against the enemy so Scripture memorization is a key component of this study. After 18 sessions, 12 sessions for part one and six sessions for part two, it is our prayer that the student and teacher will have a clear understanding of God’s standard for holiness, a deeper appreciation for His living, active Word and profound gratitude for the incredible gift of salvation given to us through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ."Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." - 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NASV) Read more
