Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Medien, Kunst, Musik, Note: 2,4, Hochschule Mittweida (FH), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Hip-Hop ist längst im Mainstream angelangt und bei der jüngeren Generation das beliebteste Musik-Genre in Deutschland. Musikvideos spielen dabei eine immer grö ere Rolle und erfreuen sich immenser Klickzahlen auf Plattformen wie YouTube. Besonders der Inszenierung von materiellen Gütern wird dabei eine interessante Bedeutung zugesprochen. Diese Arbeit untersucht anhand der Künstler The Notorious B.I.G. und Migos, inwieweit sich die Darstellung von Konsumgütern und die Rolle der Frauen in Musikvideos innerhalb der letzten Jahrzehnte verändert hat. Hinsichtlich der Beantwortung der Forschungsfrage wird eine Inhaltsanalyse durchgeführt und der Gesamtzusammenhang zwischen Schnittwechseln, den gezeigten Motiven und ihrer Darstellung untersucht.
