Turn of the millennium. Home of the Gods. A party to end all parties. By the time the Gods wake up, with the worst hangovers ever, humanity's gone to hell in a handcart, plagued with poverty, inequality, racism and sexism; floods, fires and famine; and a nasty little virus lurking in Wuhan.
Sent down to Earth to establish the cause of the chaos, trainee Gods G (good at guitar and not much else), Lark (his best friend and rival) and Helena (beautiful, kind and clever but not at all street-wise) have been given strict instructions just to report back and stay out of trouble.
But when G becomes embroiled in a plot for global domination which sees him and his friends drugged, beaten, shot at and kidnapped, staying out of trouble's no longer an option.
Some God's got to do something. And it looks like it's got to be G.
