Synopsis "Whistle and Run"

When Sheila Mahoney, a corporate accountant, suspects a money laundering scheme and confronts the CFO, his belligerent warning to back off worries her but she continues the investigation. Not convinced of Mahoney's willingness to obey orders, the CFO hires a private detective, Sam Brogan, to locate what information she has and return it. Mahoney discovers Brogan is following her and in an attempt to elude him by ducking into a bar she meets a young stockbroker, Sal Palanza. His willingness to help her involves him in her dilemma. Brogan finds the data and when he returns it, he discovers he has been replaced with an ex-mercenary, Boris Khovansky, whose assignment is to convince Mahoney to stop probing, and if not, to eliminate her. Brogan warns Mahoney and convinces her to involve the police and FBI. The FBI initiates an investigation which labels her a whistleblower, After failed attempts on her life, Mahoney's friends murdered, and law enforcement's inability to locate Khovansky, the FBI advises Mahoney and Palanza to disappear. Palanza convinces Mahoney to fly to Italy where he thinks he may have a relative who could hide them. Khovansky uncovers their plan and follows. But can they outrun him and, if not, what will they do then?
