Synopsis "Who Is God? A Journey to Find God Through His Many Names"

Right from the beginning of time, and before any organised religion or science, mankind had always wondered about their existence and how the world they inhabited came into existence. With these thoughts came questions and arguments for and the existence of a Being, Deity or God. They wondered if there was a Supreme Being, or a Creator somewhere, probably in heaven Who created mankind and everything on earth and the universe as they knew or imagined it to be; an Almighty God who controlled and ordered the very being and destiny of man. Thus, man started religion to explain the mysteries and phenomena of life which he could not understand because of his very limited knowledge. For example, the sudden bursts of lightening during a thunder storm, and other elements of nature which the people would try to explain as the display of anger by gods, or, that of a supreme God who exists and Who orders the steps of man. This persistent all-important question however remained then and even now: Who is God? Does God exist? Early man tried to find answers to these questions through organised Monotheistic and Polytheistic religions. The desire for a physical Supreme Being or Deity was more prevalent in ancient times before Judaism or the birth and spread of Christianity. Polytheistic religious people believed God to be too far removed from humanity hence they tried to reach Him through lesser deities and entities while those of monotheistic faiths worshipped this Supreme Being or God in their own different ways. Christianity, a monotheistic religion, was and is the only faith which clearly and unequivocally declared that the only way to find, to know, to worship and to connect with this "Unknown" God or Supreme Being, Creator of the world and the universe, is through His Son Jesus Christ.
